Born on June 8th, 1982, Brian Bernazard spent his childhood in a number of locations throughout the U.S. including Chicago IL., Cleveland OH., Orlando FL., Princeton NJ., and finally settled in Philadelphia PA. A self taught artist, he began drawing at an early age.In Cleveland, at the age of 13, Bernazard began to take notice of the work of street artists in the area. He was very drawn to the idea that in a world that could be so shallow and superficial at times, there existed a pure artform in which the artists were creating simply to fulfill the need to create. He soon began to hone his skills in this trade.At the age of 18 Bernazard moved to Philadelphia, and became fully immersed in the cultures of street art, skateboarding, and DJ'ing. Fortunate to live in a city that had a history of being at the forefront of these cultures, he received guidance from some seasoned veterans. Bernazard's graphic style is comprised mainly of character illustrations with bright, bold, high contrast colors. After a lifetime of bouncing from city to city, he often depicts houses and dreamscapes in his work to represent his search for a place that he could truly call home. His characters serve to represent various human traits and emotions. Bernazard has made a home in Seattle, Wa where he designs for Home Skateboards, and lives with his fiance Kacey, and daughter Cedar Sibella.
